Man v/s Women... Debated for centuries...

Ahh... Long time since i got to this page eh...
I just happened to do some velli stuff... 3 hrs b4 my ECT Xams(trust me thats the most scariest subject in the rooms of telecomm...) (And i'm postin this 1 hr b4 the xam!). I came across a super write up about a topic which has been dragged on and on...(with gud intentiona of course). But this blog written by a Jain coll student is jus awesome!

In the holy bible the story of creation of the universe is actually very interesting. It continues with the story of creation of man. Incidentally god created man after his very own image. Man was said to be the highest of all beings. He was called Adam. After the creation of the universe the garden in Eden was created. Adam was left in charge of this and forbidden to eat the fruit of knowledge. After some time god realised that though god had made Adam the master of all beings, no one was fit enough to be his companion. In spite of being surrounded by numerous creatures he was alone. So god decided to create a suitable companion for him. He put Adam to deep sleep and created Eve from a rib of his chest. So where am I leading you with this bib logical reference?? Well you just have to wait and watch. Man was indeed the crown of creations but eve was created to be his suitable companion and not as a slave. She was created from his chest; many believe his heart, with an equal strength and ability. She wasn’t created from the dust of his feet and neither from his head. Woman was created by god to stand as a suitable companion and not be treated like dust at their feet or like crown on their heads. The bible continues with a long description of how eve was responsible for them to be banished from the Garden of Eden but that is not what I want to talk about. At least not right now.
History stands proof and as many men scoff over women being responsible for the most destructive wars that ever took place on the face of the earth i would just like to remind you that it wasn’t women who started these wars but the desire of men to possess them. Man continues to be foolish and irrational failing to look beyond a woman’s beauty and often make futile attempts to possess them.
Helen, of troy, a married Greek queen who elopes with the prince of troy and this leads to the fall of the Trojan empire that still after centuries fascinate people from all walks of life. The two empires did not fight for honour but fought because the grand price for the one who won was the most beautiful Helen. So how could she be responsible for it? Men cant simply blame it on her for being beautiful but yes the war can be blamed on men for being naive enough to loose lives for her beauty.
Then there is Cleopatra, an Egyptian queen who managed to enthral Julius Caesar by evenly matching up with his wisdom and knowledge of not only languages, cultures and countries but also about warfare. She was able to sign a peace treaty with him a feat that many kings failed to accomplish. After the death of Caesar it was Mark Antony’s turn to be captivated by her beauty and charm. All this eventually not only led to the fall of the Egyptian empire but also brought end to the golden age in the Roman Empire.
There are plenty of such women. In India we have had the likes of Jodha, Nur Jahan, and Indra Gandhi. On a lighter note, there is wonder woman, the super hero in hot pants that left all the male readers sweating, the Babe raider, a video game the boys simply love to play as the babe in it resembles the Lara Croft character and is pretty much made along the same lines. The game comes with its own perks as after she completes 1 level she just looses a piece her clothing. No prices for guessing what happens when 1 would clear the last level.
ALL HAIL WOMAN POWER!!! Yes that is what I had in mind when I originally began to write this speech but as I read about these women, right from the Greek Mythology, Roman empires, and empresses of the Mughal Empire to the Virgin Mary, Mother Teresa, or even Benazir Bhutto I realised that i was thinking on the wrong lines all along. I don’t have to prove the superiority of women on men or in society. There are things that only a woman can do but there are plenty others that they can’t. The reason why both continue to exist is not because it’s been so right from the time of Adam and eve but simply because the existence of 1 depends on the other. Of course it does so, on the surface but i mean it in a deeper sense and I’m talking about the many layers of interdependence as the reason behind this co existence. It is mutual interests and needs.
Yes, grandmother’s lap is divine, mother’s touch is warm, a prank on a sister fills you with joy and satisfaction, a female classmate gives you an reason to dream in the class and a girlfriend makes you feel loved and wanted but a grandfather imbibes you with wisdom, a father makes you strong enough to face the world, a brother stands by you when you face it, a male classmate annoys you and makes your college life memorable and well a boyfriend holds your hand just when you wanted someone too.
So let’s face it. Boys are physically stronger but when it comes to emotions it’s only the girls that mange to get through. Yes there are more boys in the IITs and IIMs than the girls but there are more girls in fashion institutes or nursing colleges. Not to forget there are more men in the prison than women. But as the ever charming heroes of all the famous Bollywood and Hollywood movies continue to die while saving the beautiful girls we would like to say “thanks but no thanks”. We can manage on our own too you just have to give us a chance and yes we need you just as much as we need are hearts to pump the blood and our lungs and kidneys to function properly and keep us alive.

1st year--- Ah! Good times...(Since now i am not in your class, I can safely do this without gettin murdered!!)

==Anusha Kulkarni- has forgotten her way to the library because of extensive-compulsive-study-problems!!!

==Akriti Kedia- repeats her clothes like once in a ...er...urm...semester...
==Prateek Raj- Grows Taller,Stronger and Sharper!!! and Stops daydreaming about Miss M.N...(dude! shes graduating now!)

==Priyanka Manchanda- stops calling Akshatha her Lucky Charm!!

==Shonali- Starts liking the song "Tandoori Nights"! lol!

==Sahana- Gives Akshatha Kannada tutions and accompanies her in Kannada Essays to Sumit, Samarth, Shubham, Prateek...

==Yatish- Puts on wieght...

==Anand- Puts off weight!! lol... finally comes out of shock of being attacked by Nitin in EC lab!!

==Shubham- Looks at the lecturer with both his eyes and a closed mouth!

==Samarth- (mosquito baba!!) stops drooling in class, starts off with basketball coaching for the whole of K section!

==Saumil- Inaugrates "d Mediocre" at Freshers day party at club FUSION!!( and is sick of scoring well-pun intended ;) )

==Sumit Agarwal- FINALLY starts talking(And so does Sam!)

==Rishika- now resistant...er..immune to 220Volts, 50Hz...

==Varun Kaundinya- ???????

==Varun VK- Brand Ambassador for the PES Eclat-No smoking Campaign

==Vivek TU-has taken up a part time job as assistant lecturer to HNS...

==Nag Sundari- Finally, FINALLY gets rid of her snake skin sarees and stops saying OK?("Ow-Gay??")

==Shabbir- becomes the "Complan Man" and is now visible to the last benchers..??..

==Anupama- was last seen at the ISE HOD's office, writing basic algorithms "five-five times"

==Miss MG (Wig)Geetha (Superb Math professor.. No jokes there..)- finds solace in Dabur Amla..

==Manjunath- All i can say is this- "If you have a gal, Leave her...!!!" LMAO!

==Ms. Sangeetha Modi- She finally, FINALLY smailes at Akshatha!! O God!! *sniff*!!...She does'nt hate me!! *Sob*!!

==Nag Bhushan- Was he even there? If yes, someone please post on him too...(Shucks! I forgot all his super-english quotes!)


Now, we have a go at the campus-
==PES Canteen- STUPIDD place, I'm going to Adigas!

==PES main entrance- Volvo-rickshaws have been arranged to help students and teachers avoid the 60` incline!

==The OAT is being renovated by the Archeological Dept of India- they want to keep this ancient adda in better condition.

==The new F-Block is renovated again with one whole wing dedicated to elevators!! (To help out Ms.Akriti Kedia!!)

==Last but not the very least- THE SECURITY GUARDS- they've forgotten totally about the ID cards, now they're paid to make sure students were N-95 masks to avert swine flu!!



So, now tht we in TELECOMM, lets all face the HNS BRIGADE with faith, courage EXCELLENCE, SERVICE and PERSISTENCE(or perseverance or wateva our motto shit says...) Amen!

Vacations '09

August 14th already?Thank God!
Can't believe I was eagerly waiting for the hols by May-end.But now I'm done with staring at the TV, cleaning dog pee and facebooking(not to mention go for no brainer movies!)

But I am not saying that these were holidays not well spent-Uh huh! Fun times here and there-Heres reminiscing them-Vacation 09...

>>The first thing that gets on my mind is the small trip to the small town of Sagar. Not a great holiday spot- we mostly visited temples and long lost relatives(with a plastic smile...X-P). But what amazed me the most was the green wilderness and the closeness to Nature.(Now..now.. I ain't gettin emotional-Being a Bangalorean teaches me to appreciate such stuff). One day out on the streets of Sagar, you'll see-A mother walking her kids to the temple... cows...old men playing traditional shatranj...farmers...cows... flower vendors...cows...cows..etc... Possibly the only hour i sat mum was the drive from Sagar to Eekkare-an old temple-fort.I'll never forget the wild greens passing our Honda City nor the cool air blowing at my travel-sick face. I LOVE TREES- YAY!!

>>Horlicks Wizkids '09- Ahh! Good times! the best part of vacation. How can i miss a chance to meet Sultan(Schoolmates would get the point here! ;) )
Roamed the streets of Vijaynagar and Mysore road on my once-brand-new-Aviator, (Shucks! These places have super A-grade schools X-P) to promote the school fest. On 8th and 9th July, we volunteered for the event. Wearing jatang orange tees and running around stupid kids was our job! nevertheless- had a BLAST on 9th July- my bday! Thanks loads to Sultan, Nakul, Lucky,Kiran (for making me run to Reception for no reason! ), Bavishya, 2xMeghna, Kalpana,(from here on I'm just trying to remember names...) Akshay, Rebecca... Special Thanks to my bestesht buddy Anusha!
[Can't forget the birthday bumps by all 35 volunteers as a bonus for screwing the event...!Ouch!]

>>Coming to the love of my vacations(Few people should know the irony here...)-My DOG-named after the great and faithful house-elf-Dobby. This black lab is possibly the only creature in my house that has the liberty of dirtying the place AND go unscathed. My day begins with de-pooping the house. The joke around is that Dobby's faithfulness lies in the hands of the person, who has food in his other hand. Damage so far-Two torn jeans( :'( ), tee stinking of pee, a nearly bitten right ear...etc.

>>Also gotta mention about the reunion of class X C. Never thought it was possible at all! whats more? i thought 5-6 people may turn up but we had 15 people chatting over pizza! Was amazing meeting school buddies after 3 years. Thanks Spoo, Rekha, Manit, Nakey, Roller,AP,Poo, NJ,Abhi for helping me out there...


As for movies watched-HP6(Bless David Yates for doing atleast ONE good Harry Potter movie..HP3 remains my fav though..).
Iceage 3(Awesome movie, superb animations and hilarious scenes!)
LAK(The No-Brainer) etc etc...

I AM....
Not a great writer- have never been one…

Not a complete nerd- never been able to tackle Math for ever…
Not an outstanding painter-colors hate me…
Not good at sports- my broken bones tell the story…
Who am I??

That’s the question…a typical teenager victimized by peer pressure, parental and academical pressure. In other words I am creature trying to cope up with the traumatizing process of evolution of ‘Gen Y’. (“Any retrogressive evolutionary changes have been at the most discarded by Nature” – says my 11th grade zoology text book) After nine years, 15 days of agonizing yet fun teenage life(add a ten and u hav ma age), I have come to a conclusion- you really need to be good at living it with an attitude, calm, style and a deep pocket with no holes in it. I am told to be responsible and behave like an adult when it’s about my room and sibling. At the same time I am deprived of the pleasures of a driving license, a cell phone and an I-pod, reasons being that I am still A KID. I have been twisted and contorted into a stranger without an intention and yet I try to introspect as to who exactly I would have been if life was “normal”.

This is just an attempt to blog... So don't get bored yet... I promise ill get better!!
